ESPN College Gameday enters its 25th season this year. In 1986, college football began its transformation to what we all know it as today. Kicking off at 9:00 am ET on ESPNU and 10:00 am ET on ESPN, the boys of Gameday, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, and Desmond Howard, will be breaking down the day in football from Dallas, TX.
The Gameday crew picks a game of the week and host the show live from the campus. In this week's case, the game is the Cowboy Classic between LSU-Oregon played at a neutral site. Students show up as early as 6:00 am to get the coveted front spots. They start planning their signs on Monday when it is announced that Gameday will be coming. The more creative or outrageous the sign is the better. No matter where the boys are broadcasting from, there will always be a Washington State flag in the crowd. It has become a tradition.

I participated in the Gameday craziness when they broadcasted live from Columbia my Sophomore year for the South Carolina-Tennessee game. I was not out there at 6:00 am, but I did arrive shortly after 9:00 am. Keep in mind, the game was not until 7:00 pm.
During the last segment of the show, the guys run through all of the day's games and make their picks for the winner. Corso has made it a tradition to wear the mascot head of his pick for the game of the week.

I love the College Gameday crew! I love me some Herbie! They have come out to L.A. for USC games a few times but it starts even earlier here because of the time difference so I have never been to a taping. None of my friends wanted to go!
